"What a rare find! The walk up there was well worth it... away from the noisy touristy places in town... this was very special. We had a sunny terrace all to ourselves with a bit of a breeze and spectacular view. The food was fresh, local and delicious. For dessert: homemade "semifreddo al pistacchio" ... che bontà! If I come back to Assisi I will definitely return here."

Visiting Assisi at Christmastime
There are also some other sites, such as the stunning La Rocca (the town’s ruined castle). One of my favorite things to do in Assisi is to get out of the touristy areas and just get lost in the town’s back alleys. You can easily lose the crowds if you walk a bit away from the main sites.
