What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
George & John is celebrated for its innovative modern Israeli cuisine and elegant ambiance, often praised for its unique flavor combinations and excellent service. However, some diners find the food disappointing for the price, with occasional critiques on seasoning and ingredient balance. Despite mixed reviews on some dishes, the overall experience is often considered exceptional, especially for special occasions.
"The new chef is making very good dishes, the atmosphere is great. Beef tartare comes with a very thin potato chips which is to my taste too salty and this make a moth numb to the tartare taste, shame but yet it is a very good dish. The new version of a crab pasta is very good too but the previous version was more creamy and tasted better, also I’m not sure about the black caviar, it didn’t taste like an actual caviar and again the dish is a bit high on a salt so the “caviar” is for the decoration purposes only I guess."

"How high were our expectations how high was the fall... Food is disappointing, willing to be sophisticated but am sorry but not any WOW I was expected. A lot of money for nothing, a sachimi tuna with a microscopic qty of wasabi with 3 slices of cucumber, a green salad with cheese and slice of nectarine, am doing not less at home. The waitress was bored by his job and no patience for us. Sorry I do not recommend"

"One of the best restaurants in Israel. Every single dish has its own unique interpretation and style. Clever play with flavors and textures.
The service is professional and the overall experience is fantastic."
