Reviews Summary

Cafe Xoho is praised for its unique, high-quality food, especially its breakfast dishes and excellent vegan options, coupled with a vibrant and cozy atmosphere. However, some diners have noted high prices for drinks and sides, and there are mixed reviews regarding service quality and occasional issues with order accuracy. Despite minor complaints, many find it a beloved local gem offering a great vibe and good coffee.

"One of my favourite places in Tel Aviv(but only on weekdays!!). The food and coffee are excellent, and everything is of the highest quality. However, the prices are quite high ,especially those of the drinks(27 shekels for matcha!!). Great vegan options, sweet and savoury. On weekends it tends to be very crowded and the wait might last a long time, which isn't so fun on sunny or rainy days. So I recommend visiting on weekdays when the traffic is much lighter. The service varies between excellent and poor, depends on the waiter. Recommended!!!"

Shira Salton

"Don’t bother. I used to love this place, it is awful and I will never return. We ordered 3 dishes, none came correctly. One was not as described, one was ordered vegan and came with dairy (and I am highly sensitive!!!) and one never arrived! We asked the waitress about the mistakes. She initially insisted that the vegan dish is correct until I pointed out the cheese! The other dish, they said cannot be changed. At no point did anyone apologize! Instead, the manager gaslighted us saying that he’s sorry we had a bad experience. Here is my tip for you, apologize for giving bad service and offer up a remedy. At no point were any remedies suggested. Guess we’re the ones at fault for having a miserable time and overpaying for terrible service and tiny portions. Don’t waste your time. These people think you’re the lucky one to be sitting there waiting for a dish they never ordered from the kitchen."

Tal Maman

"The food options are pretty good and the drinks are great. The pancakes were a bit salty and they couldn’t do the beer bread dish without feta. A nice ambiance. Would come here again, but just for drinks and something small."

The Best Israeli Breakfast in Tel Aviv

Walking into Café Xoho, a local gem of a café tucked on a side street in Tel Aviv, you might think, from the funky art, the eclectic chalkboard menu, and the English speakers, that you had stumbled into a neighborhood San Francisco cafe in the Haight. Founded by Xoli Ormut-Durbin, an Israeli olah who was raised in Hong Kong by Canadian parents, Café Xoho began as a bonafide locals’ secret – fit with perfectly roasted coffee beans and international staff who always know your name. Even in café-crazed Tel Aviv, Xoho stands out.

The food at XOHO is inventive and playful. The staff of cooks, spearheaded by Chef Zoe, constantly experiment with fun baked goods and interesting specials, such as beer bread with rosemary, pecans and raisons or the camparai muffins. The regular items on the menu kindle little reminders of coffee shops in the States, such as the New York Bagel and cream cheese.
