Reviews Summary
Diners praise Abie for its exceptionally fresh seafood, unique flavors, and the daily changing menu that keeps things exciting. The service is often highlighted as a standout, particularly when seated at the Chef's bar. However, some reviews mention that portions can be very small for the price, leading to a feeling of being overpriced despite the quality of the food.
"Great value for money!
The fishes are fresh and they know how to work with it, everything is local industry. I think it reflects the Israeli, Tel Avivian kitchen very well.
The service was very good and exceptional to Tel Aviv (usually the service isn’t so great). I recommend sitting at the Chef’s bar."

"Great food, everything is fresh and the taste is really unique.
The menu changes from day to day - depends on what the sea has to offer on that day.
The atmosphere is really chill, staff is nice and helpful and the prices are relatively decent compared to the food you are getting (every starter - 20$, main 40$, drinks 10$).
Highly recommended, 10/10.
The potatoes are a must-have. Godly."

"I had a great meal at Amie in Tel Aviv with a friend! We started with the watermelon salad, which was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day, though it wasn’t very filling. Next, we tried the calamari in olive oil, and it was absolutely delicious—super tender and flavorful, especially with the bread for dipping. For the main, we shared the whole fish, which was perfectly seasoned and so tasty. The restaurant has a lovely indoor/outdoor vibe with lots of string lights, creating a really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance—it gets busy!"

Restaurants in Tel Aviv
This relaxed and friendly unique fish restaurant perfectly encapsulates modern Tel Aviv, combining an urban hipster atmosphere with the catch of the day and an abundance of fresh flavors, using all local ingredients. The seafood is phenomenal but there are many vegetarian and vegan highlights on the menu, including a purslane salad which will brighten up your evening. The atmosphere is informal yet chic and you’ll be mesmerised by the view into the exposed kitchen, where a skilled team are preparing plate after plate of fantastic food.
Tel Aviv restaurants - the best places to eat in Tel Aviv
Abie is not the first culinary revolution that talented chef Asaf Doktor has brought to Tel Aviv. The Dok restaurant that he opened with his brother Yotam in 2015 brought the obsession with the local Israeli kitchen into a particularly structured idea, which includes climbing trees in the neighborhood to collect oranges, and the iconic charcoal kohlrabi dish with Meiri cheese. The duo opened Ha'Achim (brothers) in 2011, which has since become a Tel Avivian go-to.

Like many of Israel’s best restaurants, Abie features vegetable-forward dishes that honor the produce grown here and the core ingredients in the Israeli kitchen. Abie’s menu of Israeli, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes is mostly divided by method of cooking, rather than traditional starters and mains.
