Originally a Bank Of Ireland Branch in Kilkenny, this fine building was transformed in 2008 into one of the most popular nightlife venues in Kilkenny. It is a really popular place for a parties, family celebrations and other functions. As well as the impressive main bar The Left Bank also has the LB2 Social Club on the first floor which is one of Kilkenny’s top Nightclubs with top DJ’s playing every Friday & Saturday night.

Left Bank // a cool, hipster kind of place with great cocktails. I’ve stopped in a few times over the years and I feel like I discover quirky new things about the place each time: the paintings move, there’s odd bits & bobs hanging all over the bar etc etc. Definitely worth a visit.

Left Bank is a former Bank of Ireland branch, it was constructed in 1870 to a design by Sandham Symes. Left Bank boasts a wide range of Irish Premium Whiskeys from 12-year-old Jameson, Powers Signature Release to Midleton Very Rare & Redbreast.

The Left Bank has a more classy interior, featuring a beautiful bar rich in detail, with an incredible array of whiskies stacked to the ceiling behind it. Numerous chandeliers hang from the ceiling, giving the pub a unique atmosphere.

Rive Gauche at the Left Bank is offering a three-course meal with a glass of wine for €30 per person. Rinuccini’s Restaurant Week offer, available on Thursday February 24, is a five-course menu, with wine pairing, for €90 per person.

This is a great stop for lunch after visiting the castle as it is close by and, if you’re lucky, you’ll score some live music while you nibble!. Left Bank has won the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence every year since 2015.

As you walk down The Parade you have the Left Bank pub on your left-hand side. The left bank was as you might tell from the name, a former bank. It’s a popular enough spot.
