Not many people probably know Kilkenny is home to Ireland’s first craft exclusive bar Brewery Corner, not a bar that has been publicised much but a craft lovers paradise. A huge selection of craft beer and cider on draught with the added bonus of a generous offering of international craft beers also. Easy to miss from it’s tiny facade on Parliament Street behind the door is people with a real passion for the craft movement in Ireland.

As well as craft beers and cracking food, Brewery Corner is known for its wide selection of craft beers with a particular focus on Irish brewers. Sullivan’s Taproom (pictured) has Sullivan’s Brewing Company drinks on tap which are brewed locally by hand in small batches. Their tasting talks are the perfect way to learn about the fascinating history of the brewing company which dates back to 1702!

Along this street, Brewery Corner serves up some sensational food. It’s a craft bar so if you aren’t mad about craft beer/ale/stout you probably won’t be arsed. To be fair we were a few pints deep when we came to it so we popped in to have a gander at the place and to give the grub a crack.
