Ramen in Cooler Months

Enjoy flavorful ramen, particularly during Fall or Winter.

One of my favorite places to get a working lunch is Zakura on Wexford st - went last week with @Sham and it was spot on. Service is quick, efficient and for €11.99 you can't go far wrong. This place is absolutely rammed usually so get in early if you're keen to add a bento to the bottom hole of your face. Love Miso Soup Love Japanese food and don't eat enough of it Love you ❤️ #dublinfood #dublin...

Reviews Summary

Zakura Izakaya is consistently praised for its delicious and fresh Japanese cuisine, with many highlighting the excellent sushi, ramen, and bento boxes. Diners also appreciate the friendly and efficient service, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While generally a positive experience, some dishes can be perceived as small depending on appetite.

"My family and I love this restaurant. The staff are always so friendly and the food is to die for. The tempura sushi roll is out of this world. My youngest daughter loves the salmon sashimi. We eat here every time we are in Dublin. No matter where."

Paul Smith

"This was such a pleasant, quaint experience. The staffers were so kind and helpful. The sushi was so good. I truly enjoyed the plum wine. And what people don't talk about: their bathroom was clean, which is greatly appreciated because there are times when you never know what you're gonna get (I came at least to say that for the States, lol).

The only thing I can't speak on is the dessert, but maybe I can next visit. I can't wait to visit again, which will be very soon."

Ashley B.

"Zakura never disappoints! It’s always a great meal and overall experience.
I’ve been coming here for years and have consistently enjoyed every visit. The service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff, and the food is both delicious and reasonably priced (lunch deals are especially great)."

Zakura Izakaya on Upper Baggot Street is a must-visit for any sushi lover in Dublin. The cozy and nicely decorated Japanese-themed restaurant boasts an extensive selection of fresh and incredibly tasty sushi dishes, including the shrimp gyozas and salmon lovers sushi which were both simply divine. Not only was the food delicious, but the customer service we received from the polite staff was absolutely fantastic – they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.

Best Food & Drink in Dublin (From Brunch to Dinner!)

I’ve had some pretty good Japanese food since being in Dublin, but Zakura Izakaya was probably my favorite. It’s kind of a hole-in-the-wall, but the service is fast and the sushi is exceptional. I also loved the Chicken Katsu Curry, which I highly recommend.
