Here’s a wonderful activity to do in Bali, in the city of Ubud: Elephant Experience. 🐘 Find and book the best activities in Bali at www.baliexcited.com. During the Elephant Experience: Feed the elephants, give them a mud bath, and wash them. Perfect for families too (children from 1.2m tall). 👦 The activity lasts 1.5 hours and lunch is included. If the weather is good, you’ll also have the chance ...

Evening Lighting

Bring a flashlight for evening visits as low lighting might be an issue.

Breakfast Delights

Consider trying breakfast items like the breakfast burrito or banana pancakes.

Visiting Mason Elephant Park in Ubud was honestly one of the most magical parts of Bali 🌿🐘 From feeding and washing the elephants to watching them splash around in the lake, it’s an experience I’ll never forget. General entry is about 450k IDR (~$28 USD), and the special activities like the Jumbo Wash or Lake Bathe run between $60–80 — totally worth it if you want that once-in-a-lifetime memory. T...

Reviews Summary

The Elephant is celebrated for its stunning jungle views and delicious vegetarian cuisine, offering a relaxing escape. While many praise the creative dishes and accommodating nature for dietary needs, some find vegan breakfast options limited and suggest bringing a flashlight for evening visits due to dim lighting.

"We fully enjoyed our dining experience at The Elephant. It was our first night in Ubud and we’d already enjoyed a big lunch, so we probably didn’t do justice to the menu, which looked fantastic.

We enjoyed a cocktail, a delicious dip platter and some spring rolls as the sun went down.

Great views, relaxing Balinese style setting and excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate returning.

Thanks for a great night!"

"Amazing meal at The Elephant last night….why can’t vegetarian food always taste as excellent as this 🤔😍. The Golden Dragon smoothie tasted every bit as good as it looked, Asian sharing platter, Vietnamese Pancakes, sweet potato fries with honey and mustard mayo, followed by sweet sticky rice and mango cheesecake were all DEVINE. We enjoyed every mouthful of food we had. Very accommodating and friendly service and reasonably priced …a million times better than the overpriced, over-hyped Zest restaurant down the road. We will be returning to the Elephant to try out the breakfast menu 🐘👍"

"Not enough stars for this amazing little gem! We loved our meal at the Elephant!! Our food was both beautiful and delicious beyond expectation. This is a vegetarian restaurant with no meat on the menu. Even if you normally order meat, this restaurant is worth trying, the food is excellent!
The service was kind, welcoming and prompt. We had no language issues, the menu had English descriptions and we ordered in English but did our best to thank them in Bahasa. The meal was one of our more expensive meals in Indonesia but it was by far the best, worth every penny! The view was a simply stunning showing of the jungle in the area, while the restaurant was clean and decorated in Balinese style. We're so glad we stopped here for dinner!
Stop in and try it out, you won't be disappointed!"

If you’re in the mood for lunch with a view, make your way up Jalan Raya Sanggingan to The Elephant Cafe, housed in the quaint Hotel Taman Indrakila. Though not 100% vegetarian, almost all of their vegan dishes are yummy, including salads, soups and sandwiches (like anywhere in Ubu, you just have to ask for the gluten-free options) and their #1 stand-out dish: homemade Laksa. Start out with fresh squeezed lime juice, a smoothie or a fresh coconut while you wait.

delicious food in ubud

The Elephant is out of town to the north – a short scooter ride away – and is a vegetarian restaurant with massive salad bowls and tasty fresh juices and smoothies. I had no clue what this restaurant was about before going – Vincent asked me to meet him there – so I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive (mostly vegetarian) menu. I’m not vegetarian but I enjoy a good salad and the one I had was perfect.
