Reviews Summary

Warung Kolega is celebrated for its authentic Javanese cuisine and reasonable prices, offering a wide selection of dishes in a cafeteria-style setting. Many appreciate the flavorful 'Nasi Campur' and classic Javanese meals, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. However, some reviews mention inconsistent pricing and occasional issues with food being too oily or salty, alongside feedback about the cashier's demeanor.

"A little bit pricey but worth with the taste they offer. Have many variant Javanese food and so delicious. Of course I will back and back again to try all their menu."

Alan Yudha

"My first time trying this kind of warung. Where you pick the rice (white, red or yellow), the meat or veggie and side dish. After that the cashier instead of telling you how much and let you pay, they pass you price tags for every dish or item you ordered. Then before leaving, go back to the cashier and pay.

I assume it's to anticipate in case i order something else while still there. Full of trust!!! This is impressive!

But unfortunately because of this, the staff doesn't go around much. Leaving tables did not take care of immediately after the customer finished eating or leaving.

There's plenty of selections here. Love it!!!

The vibe here is also very nice. Making me feel like it's a pretty cool place to hang out with friends."

Ray Ray

"After 8 years I finally found my regular lunch place again. Very delighted.
With the taste and menu remaining the same as before.
My favorites are Sayur Pecel, Ikan Goreng Kembung Santan and Tahu Goreng, they still taste as delicious as before))"

They do a lovely mix of Asian food at this warung and you can find pretty much everything from crispy duck to nasi goreng. We went with the rendang beef and it was very good indeed, our vegan friends opted for the tempeh dishes and said they were very impressed. We like the simple and homely environment too, which suits the food being served here, not everywhere needs to be Instagram-worthy to be worth visiting.

Alternatively, there’s Warung Kolega if you want to have a legit local meal. We had fun trying out their Javanese-style ‘buffet,’ where you point at your preferred freshly cooked dishes behind a glass window and they serve it right up.
