We already know that a good hunk of Bali's hospitality scene is a transplanted of slice Sydney – Maurice Terzini's got Da Maria, George Gorrow's behind the Slow and Motel Mexicola has ties to Bondi's Bucket List – so it wasn't a huge surprise when we found out Double Bay's Mrs Sippy is the latest export to find a new home in the glitzy Bali neighbourhood of Seminyak.

Along the beach from Potato Head, Mrs Sippy boasts Bali’s biggest saltwater pool and brands itself as a Mediterranean-inspired oasis.

Mrs Sippy is a pool club extraordinaire for those who enjoy the flashier things in life as well as heaps of Instagrammable moments. But it also does a stellar job at straddling the fine line between a commercially driven audience and selling them on an ultra-cool music policy that has seen artists like Yolanda Be Cool, Basement Jaxx, Digitalism, Cassius, Claptone, Classixx, Riva Starr and Purple Disco Machine play alongside its oversized saltwater pool. That same ice-blue pool is flanked by palm trees and a 10-metre high custom diving platform that will make all your aerial Instagram dreams come true.

Petitenget, Mrs Sippy is a popular day/pool club that offers great tunes, cocktails and food all day and up to 10pm, Potato Head Beach Club is always packed thru the day and especially around sunset with electronic sounds and the occasional big live music and dance parties. Red Ruby is next, popular with the expat and tourist crowds, the house/techno club kicks off around midnight inside the club and the out front Terrace bar and restaurant is always busy from earlier too.

An 800-meter free-form saltwater pool, acrobatic diving board, Mediterranean-themed deck chairs with umbrellas, green lawns and coconut palms set the scene for parties with tropical house music and electronic music. This hip, relatively new, pool bar showcases an open air restaurant and stylish bar around a huge saltwater pool, inviting you to spend the day and night swimming, sunbathing, eating and drinking. The food menu includes salads and wood fired pizzas, plus some great grazing options for poolside nibbling, like tacos and charcuterie boards, plus our favourite, the poke bowls. Keep an eye out for special events and pool parties – Mrs Sippy attracts some world class acts.

The vibe: This ultra-cool day club and pool bar was brought to us by one of Sydney’s hottest F&B teams. Mrs Sippy is home to the biggest pool we’ve ever seen in Bali and its own five-metre high diving board for you to level up your cannonball-ing. That’s before we mention the variety of poolside bites and ice-cold drinks.The deal: From Monday to Wednesday then on Friday and Sunday, Mrs Sippy’s Happy Hour offers two-for-one drinks between 4pm and 5pm.

Mrs Sippy is a family-friendly beach club in Seminyak ( although not technically on the beach), centred around a huge lagoon pool. The club has a cool yet casual atmosphere, with a DJ playing tropical beach club beats that gets more upbeat as the day progresses. If you’re brave enough, there are three diving platforms from 1m to 5m high, but we left this to the pros while we watched from the floating bean bags.

Mrs Sippy is one of the hippest day clubs in Seminyak, Bali, with a massive saltwater pool that attracts all the beautiful people, families, hip crowds, anddelicious cocktails under the warm tropical Bali sun. Mrs Sippy got my attention as soon as they opened with all their photos featuring inflatable unicorns and flamingos in the pool. Sadly there were none of these animals still alive when I visited, but they did still have beanbags to float around on. Mrs Sippy is perfect if you’re with a group of friends, or kids, and want to mess about for the day as they have diving boards to keep you entertained.

Not located right on the beach, but Mrs Sippy makes up for it with Bali's largest salt water pool, a hard-to-choose-from food menu and the tastiest frozen margaritas.
