Three Monkeys - this is a restaurant near our guesthouse which would probably be described as more upmarket. However, they are very friendly towards children, have a children’s menu and the food is delicious, a mixture of western and indonesian cuisine with outdoor and indoor (aircon) seating. This was probably our most expensive meal in Sanur at £40 but we had starters, mains and (alcoholic) drinks.

Located in the center of town, the Three Monkeys cafe serves a variety of Western and Asian cuisines. The cafe is usually busy, but the service here is above average. The restaurant is located on the beachfront, which makes it an excellent place for sunset viewing.

Another good Sanur restaurant we visited last year was the Three Monkeys. Whilst we didn’t revisit this year it wasn’t because of the food. The food in fact was beautiful – if anything a little more upmarket than the rest of the Sanur restaurants we try.

Spread over two floors; this knock-off place serves delightful coffee and a creatively infused menu with a mix of Western and Asian creations. Moreover, the cozy atmosphere, the comfy seating, and the uplifting jazz music add up to a perfect experience.
