What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Shang Palace is highly praised for its authentic Cantonese cuisine, particularly the dim sum and signature dishes like Beggar's Chicken. Diners consistently laud the impeccable service and the beautiful, serene 'Chinese Garden' ambiance. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few note that the prices are on the higher side and some find the food to be a bit over-rated or not perfectly balanced in flavor.

"It has been an awesome lunch at Shang palace. It was my son’s birthday & we were there to celebrate the occasion. Good food & service really impressed us. Special mention to Himanshu & Sarita for serving us & making this afternoon special. They also surprised us with a cake too🙂 Really want to thank everyone at this property for making this day memorable for us."

"Must try - Beggar’s Chicken - a stuffed and marinated chicken, sealed tight with layers of lotus leaf and mud. The chicken is tender, juicy, moist, and aromatic. The original taste of the chicken is perfectly retained and trapped inside the chicken. The bones just
fall off the chicken! Roast pork is perfect ! I’ll stay away from anything that has sauce .. imho .. too much sauce & tend to b too salty but that’s just me … it’s probably tailored more to the taste of local Indians ! Service is impeccable but if it’s not , let them know. They will rectify right away; very humble & apologetic!"
