What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise SodaBottleOpenerWala for its authentic Parsi cuisine and charming, retro ambiance that evokes a sense of nostalgia. While many highlight signature dishes like the Mutton Berry Pulao and the unique Irani cafe atmosphere, some reviewers note a decline in food quality and a significant price increase over time, with occasional issues regarding service speed.
"Superbly done interiors and very good food.
Do try their mocktails they have a very unique taste.

Ambience is very retro and nicely done up."

"I can't give this place more than 3*. They served an average good as well as service was really average.
We have spent approx Rs. 3240 and I'm not at all satisfied with the food quality and the quantity. The paratha they served, it cost me Rs. 125 and some part of it was raw. The chicken portion was really small and the price was Rs. 695. Lastly and most disappointing was the chocolate browny shake. This was runny, simes like 60% water 35% milk and 5% other things. And it costs Rs.345 (lol).
It was my 1st and last try of this place, I will never ever visit there again to waste my money.
Also, about service, it looks like they are in a rush to closing and the time was 9.15 pm, I asked to serve the main course a little late and let us finish the starter first but the guy didn't even listen to me.
Also, when you pay the bill check carefully they are charging a service charge and some indian hunger contribution. They will remove once you will ask for it."

"SodaBottleOpenerWala – the name itself sparks curiosity and nudges you to explore its roots. Launched in 2013, this relatively new chain pays homage to the Irani cafés of old Mumbai, beginning its journey in Gurgaon and quickly becoming a staple for Parsi cuisine lovers.
We first visited this place on a friend’s recommendation and it quickly became one of our go-to spots for something refreshingly different. Their Berry Berry Pulao is an absolute must-have – hands down the best on the menu. Other favorites from our visits include the crispy Aloo Tuk, flavorful Galouti Kebab, quirky yet delicious Paneer BomBae, and the comforting Everyday Sunday Dhansak. While the Berry Pulao stood out as a star, the Dhansak reminded us of a warm, home-cooked dal-rice lunch. And yes, don’t skip the Aloo Tuk.
The ambiance is charming, with cozy Irani-themed interiors that transport you to a bygone era. The staff is friendly, and the service is prompt, slightly costly a well-rounded experience overall."
