Reviews Summary

Annalakshmi Restaurant offers a unique temple-themed ambiance that many find impressive and serene. Diners often praise the excellent service and the sheer variety of dishes in their thali meals, especially the Mahalakshmi menu. However, some find the food quality inconsistent or overly priced for the taste, and portion sizes for starters can be perceived as small.

"I would define this as a vegeterian paradise, where every rupee is worth it.
We came with high expectations and these were even exceeded!
We went for the Mahalakshmi menu, a series of starters, soups, Indian breads and rices, all along with their side dishes. Just to mention the top ones: dahi puri, palak and pees, curd base with ladyfingers, creamy paneer… To conclude a good payasam and paan.
The menu is expensive considering average meals for Indian standard, however we would happily pay for it again. Quantity was even excessive and we were offered the opportunity to repeat our favorite dishes.
The staff was very attentive and polite. At some points I would say the service was too fast but good overall.
The ambience is a little bit old fashioned but comfortable, even though the music was too loud.
Overall it is a very recommendable experience, specially for those willing to discover authentic Indian dishes in a safe and tranquil environment (tourist friendly)."

Doctor Noodle

"While the ambiance and aesthetics of the restaurant are truly impressive — I’d easily give them a full 100 points for that — the dining experience overall was quite disappointing. None of the dishes we ordered met expectations.

The veggie soup was essentially just water with vegetables, lacking any real flavor. Both the dal tadka and the kadai vegetable curry were unnecessarily heavy with cream, which made the experience quite amusing in a way. All the fried items — baby corn, paneer, and vendakkai — came in seriously stingy portions, especially considering the premium pricing. Seriously never seen a fine dining restaurant servicing starter with ketchup.

On a positive note, the serving staff and waiters did an okay job explaining the specials and assisting where needed, although they didn’t really make an effort when it came to actually serving the food.

Overall, despite the beautiful setting, I wouldn't return for the food."

Sindhuja C

"Wow!! Totally surprised.
Beautiful decor and ambience. Whole place smelled so good (either incense or some room fragrance).

Staff were so polite and friendly. Service was top notch.

Food was good. It wasnt extraordinary.

If you opt for the unlimited thali, skip on the appetizers as you can fill yourselves up and wont have room for the main course.

Will definitely come back. Whole family enjoyed the experience."
