Reviews Summary

Le KocK is praised for its exceptionally good burgers and creative potato dishes, often called the best in Iceland and a great value. While the food consistently impresses, some diners note that service can be slow and the self-serve system might be unclear upon arrival. The lively atmosphere and unique decor add to the overall dining experience, making it a popular spot despite minor service quirks.

"Wow this place is great. We ended up
coming for breakfast and dinner, the donuts are great but the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich are probably the best I’ve had in my life. And we really enjoyed their take on fish and chips.

Also, they were playing Pokemon on the TV so this is probably the best restaurant ever."

Seth Laxman

"Very tasty! The chicken wings are a must-try. They offer a wide variety of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, so you’re sure to find something you like.

The only downside is that the instructions aren’t very clear. The restaurant is quite spacious, and at first glance, it doesn’t seem like a self-serve place. There are no signs or guidance when you enter, and the staff didn’t explain the process—you’re expected to find your own seat, grab a menu at the counter, and place your order there.

But once you know how it works, you can relax and enjoy your food and drinks comfortably."

L L

"This place was awesome! Love the atmosphere and most importantly the food. We stopped in for dinner, based on Phil's recommendation. It is a unique dinning experience you place and pay for your order, then they bring you the food after you.

We tried a couple of their burgers, Cheeseburger and Dirty Harry. These burgers were fantastic! They were so juicy and tasty. The buns were very unique. We also got a side of the Parmesan Garlic Potatoes - excellent! If you are in the area and looking for a great burger. This is the spot!"

Traveling in Iceland with Food Allergies

We visited Le KocK for lunch one afternoon, and the burgers did not disappoint!. The staff was good about confirming the safety for our allergens, and the kids loved that there were GI Joes and other small toys to keep them entertained while we were waiting for our food. This is not health food, but it is good, greasy comfort food.
