What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tartines offers a memorable dining experience with its stunning rooftop views and high-quality French cuisine. Diners consistently praise the exceptional service, generous portions, and classic dishes like the pepper steak. While it's on the pricier side, most agree it's worth the cost for the overall experience.
"One of our favorite restaurants in Antigua, worth the price. The terrace view is amazing and service is always excellent. We always make a reservation because it’s nice outside and it can be crowded. The serve butter and warm bread complimentary, and the quality of the ingredients as well as the cooking methods is world class. Highly recommended to order Café de Paris."

"Amazing location with wow views of the ruins. The restaurant is tiny, so definitely make a reservation — and ask for a table on the terrace to enjoy the scenery. The food is more on the traditional side, nothing over the top in mixing flavora, but absolutely delicious. I ordered the artichokes and the robalo, and both were excellent. Classic French flavors, prepared perfectly. Service was great, and I loved seeing so many locals come for lunch — always a sign the place is truly worth it. A must-visit!"

"Nothing much more to say than that this was fantastic.
Of course we had steak frites, I feel as though this is the gem of the menu. Waiter recommend a wine to go with it, everything was lovely, we spent a while eating and although it was relatively busy we didn’t feel rushed out at all. There was a screaming child there for a while…
I would recommend making a reservation for peace of mind, especially if you want to sit on the terrace."

Tartines is the local French restaurant located a half a block from the Central Parque. The restaurant is laid out over two floors with the street entrance looking like a take-out place but to the right of the entrance is a winding staircase that takes patrons upstairs to the rooftop where dinner is served either under a roofed seating area or under the stars.

Although the entrance doesn’t look very inviting, just walk up the stairs and get on the terrace. You will enjoy great views as the terrace overlooks the crumbling yet spectacular remains of the Cathedral of San Jose. The menu is quite varied and pricy but worth it, offering French and international cuisine.
