If you’re looking for a quick treat or healthy salad to-go, Saberico is one the best restaurants in Antigua. There have an extensive grab-and-go section, including tons of local chocolates. However, there is also a little garden out back where you can order to dine in.

On the street side, there is a cafe serving sweets and small takeaway items behind a glass counter. Step in a little further and there is a chocolate store and some fresh produce. Further again and there is a bar inside an open courtyard.

I popped into this bakery / restaurant to get a quick sweet treat. Their chocolate is simply to die for. If you head to the back, you’ll find this stunning oasis hidden in the back.

Even vegetarians may have a hard time deciding, which is usually not a problem they encounter in Guatemalan restaurants. Also great: the selection of comida típica.

Saberico is also worth going for its expansive back outdoor patio, though if you’re in the right spot you get a lot of noise pollution from the hostel next door.
