Reviews Summary

Sakis is a beloved Mykonos institution, lauded for its authentic, flavorful, and generously portioned gyros and souvlaki at unbeatable prices. Diners consistently praise the fast, friendly service, even during bustling periods. While it offers incredible value and taste, the limited seating and sometimes crowded atmosphere are noted drawbacks. Overall, it's a must-visit for a delicious and budget-friendly Greek street food experience.

"Sakis Souvlaki in Mykonos Town is an absolute must-visit! Quite possibly the best souvlaki and gyro spot in town — delicious, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite tastes like true Greek street food perfection!

The team is fast, friendly, and professional, handling the busy crowds with a smile and serious skill. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite during the day or stopping by late at night, Sakis always delivers.

Tasty, reliable, and full of local flavor — it’s no wonder it’s a favorite among both locals and visitors. Don’t leave Mykonos without trying it!"

markos paterakis

"We ate at Saki’s twice during our stay in Mykonos. The first time we had two gyros — tasty, filling, and reasonably priced at €7 each. On our second visit, we tried the “Big Plate” for two (€37), which was a great mix of grilled meats and sides. Service was impressively fast both times, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Beer was around €4–5. Prices are typical for Mykonos, but the quality and experience make it worth it. Definitely recommended for a casual, satisfying meal!"

Bálint Hajdu

"Great gyros at a reasonable price. Very limited seating. They do take cards, but they will ask you to pay cash. Just tell them no cash."

One of the legendary and budget-friendly spots in Mykonos, Sakis is famous for serving some of the best gyros on the island (for under €10). Their souvlakis are another specialty, and they offer combination plates where the main dish doesn’t have to be meat (there are cheese and salad options too). Located in the heart of Chora (Mykonos Town), this restaurant has outdoor seating, but it can get quite crowded and overwhelming.

If you’re having a ton of fun exploring Mykonos Town and only want to stop for a quick lunch (or a big afternoon snack) then we recommend you stop by Sakis for gyros and other Greek street food. This place was recommended to us by our AirBnb host, and although it will be packed around lunch time the service is absurdly fast. Our orders were ready in under a minute and we even found seating at one of the small tables inside.
