Reviews Summary

COYA Mykonos offers a visually stunning atmosphere and creative Peruvian-inspired cuisine, with many praising the salmon and beef dishes. However, some diners have reported issues with inconsistent service, long wait times for tables, and occasional problems with food quality or presentation, with one reviewer even finding plastic in their meal.

"This was my first visit to the restaurant, and honestly, it was an exceptional experience in every way.
The welcome was warm and classy, and the staff were incredibly polite and professional.
Their attention to detail is impressive — from the table setup to the food presentation, and every little touch in between.
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious, easily surpassing many well-known restaurants. It’s clear that quality and flavor are top priorities here.
You truly made my day — thank you to the entire team!
It definitely won’t be my last visit 💛"

"The service at the beginning of the evening was excellent, but as the evening progressed and there was no crowd in the bar, the service was terrible!? Dinner, which was supposed to last an hour and a half, turned into two and a half, almost three hours, even though we had a reservation for an hour and a half. We waited 45 minutes for the beef filet that we received as part of the menu and it was served cold! So that's a brief description of how the dinner and service went. I conveyed all this to the waiter, who said he would convey it to the manager, but no one even deigned to apologize, let alone anything else."

"“The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and the staff were generally wonderful. However, for the first time in Mykonos I encountered a receptionist at the front desk who was unwelcoming and rather rude. I didn’t want to spoil my family’s mood, so we continued with our evening, and thankfully everything else was excellent. The food, ambiance, and the rest of the team truly made the experience enjoyable.”"

The 16 best restaurants in Mykonos

Enclosed in an airy courtyard behind a door that shuts out the clamour of Chora, this elegant space is the ninth restaurant belonging to the hugely successful brand which specialises in fine-dining, Peruvian style. The setting is charming, with olive trees and bright pink bougainvillaea punctuating the space, with more pops of colour on the pretty patterned plates. There’s a tasting menu if you’d rather let the chef guide you (think baby squid, yellowfin tuna ceviche and lobster with orzo), otherwise, you can choose a la carte from the likes of pollo a la parilla (grilled corn-fed baby chicken), Chilean sea bass with rice cooked in a traditional cazuela, or rock octopus spiced with Peruvian chilli.

But many great ones are, including lusted-after global names such as Zuma, Bagatelle, Matsuhisa, and Coya—this is Mykonos after all—but there are also lots of Greek-owned restaurants worth taste-testing too. Apanemi is new to Mykonos for 2023, has a great sunset view, and whips up dishes using local produce from local farmers; M-eating serves traditional Mykonian and Cycladic dishes with a twist, and Katrin is one of the oldest restaurants in Mykonos—order the stuffed vine leaves with rice and minced meat in an egg-lemon sauce.
