What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wirtshaus Lämmle offers an authentic Franconian dining experience with a charming beer garden, praised for its delicious traditional food and good value. While many highlight friendly service and a great atmosphere, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in service speed and attentiveness, particularly during busy periods.
"We spent a delightful several hours in the shady garden restaurant outside Wirthaus Lämmle this evening. Service was friendly and wonderful, extending to great patience with our halting and imperfect German.
The evening couldn't have been more pleasant, with bells ringing from nearby Marienkappelle at 6 P.M. as we sat enjoying cool Silvaner white wine and a shared mug of seasonal Fassbier, followed by bratwursts, sauerkraut, puréed potatoes, Paprikaschnitzel, and french fries. We ended the meal with apple strudel and whipped cream and felt we'd eaten royally.
The price of this resplendent (to us) meal was very reasonable, a bit over €60 for two. Most of all, the garden tables were quiet, cool, seemingly far away from the rest of the touristy old city. I'd highly recommend Lämmle to anyone looking for authentic Franconian cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere with good service."

"I will always come back, when in Wuerzburg.
Good food, for an affordable price and a good selection of locally brewed beers. Our waiter was very good and knowledgeable about the menu and the beers. A traditional German Gasthaus in perfection!"

"The food was delicious, traditional German food. The waitress was awful and clearly having a bad day."
