Reviews Summary
Wielandshöhe is praised for its authentic, high-quality German cuisine and stunning city views. Diners appreciate the unpretentious approach to fine dining and the warm interactions with Chef Vincent Klink and his wife Eva. However, some guests have noted that the food, while good, may not always be exceptionally creative or memorable for the price point, and minor service inconsistencies have been mentioned.
"If you happen to be in Stuttgart and neglect to dine at this establishment, you will have missed out on a significant aspect of your visit.
I had heard about this restaurant from several reliable sources and felt compelled to experience it firsthand. My expectations were not only met, but perhaps even exceeded. The entire staff was exceptionally welcoming and demonstrated a genuine passion for their culinary offerings.
We opted for the baby chicken, which was highly recommended by the restaurant's owner, and it proved to be an excellent choice. The mixed salad was also remarkable, with its well-balanced seasoning and generous portion. The mushroom risotto, prepared with locally sourced ingredients, was another standout dish.
The restaurant's art deco theme, featuring various paintings and a cozy atmosphere, created a delightful ambiance. I must commend the establishment for its exceptional qualities and eagerly anticipate my next visit.
May this establishment continue its 34-year legacy of culinary excellence."

"Unpretentious, classic dishes made with high quality ingredients. The food needs no pretense, it speaks for itself. Eva made our experience exceptional. Highly recommend."

"We didn’t like our first visit to this place because of the poor wine paring advice. But 30 years later we decided to give them a second chance. Imagine our surprise, when we saw that nothing has changed much, I even recognized the chairs 🤣.
The pluses- table clothes ( not a must in a star restaurant any more), flexible ordering and friendly staff. It’s a nice touch when Klink himself comes out to greet the guests.
But that’s about all. The food is good but nothing inspiring - neither in taste nor in presentation. The furniture is old and worn out. The decorations are kept to the minimum so you can concentrate on the view, (I presume ). But they forgot to mention the opportunity to drink the coffee on the terrace . So, no view for us. It was my birthday and my husband mentioned it 20 times - with no avail.
Conclusion - you can spend your 400+ € in a better and more rewarding way."

STUTTGART × MICHELIN RESTAURANTS - 360 MAGAZINE - GREEN | DESIGN | POP
The first stop on your culinary tour of Stuttgart is the Wielandshöhe Restaurant on the Alte Weinsteige (the old wine road). Not only is this a Stuttgart gourmet institution led by one of the city’s most popular chefs but it also gives you a beautiful view of the city. The Wielandshöhe is considered a traditional establishment, but Chef Klink’s cooking is state-of-the-art: “We deliberately do not modernize our dishes, but rather aim for authenticity and goodness, not for flashy effects.” This self-image, eschewing ostentation and “plate tattoos,” is a modesty appreciated by Stuttgarters.
5 tolle Sternerestaurants in Stuttgart

The world’s best wine shops: Wein Handlung Kreis, (Stuttgart, Germany)
The story of this sommelier, who will tell you that his "life is wine", began in the Wielandshöhe restaurant (1 Michelin star), where he worked until 2001. In 1994, while still employed at the restaurant, serving and advising customers, he set up his own company, to which he dedicated his free time and holidays, opening his first small shop in a suburb of the German city.
Top 5 Sommerterrassen in Stuttgart

Service was disappointing for this price point and cannot compare with other starred restaurants worldwide. Some waiter and waitresses didn't look like they belonged in fine-dining restaurants. Holes in the tablecloth.
