Places had everything that you expect from good German restaurant, classic dishes and some options with the Italian twist (like pasta) and you can try several dishes in a smaller size that is perfect for someone who can't eat so much but wants to try different options. There are also regular sizes. Beer for sure is fresh and tasty. Great wibes, fast and efficient service, easy to book over the phone, nice design inside and plenty of sits outside."

"The restaurant feels very warm and cozy inside.
We arrived at 7:30 PM without a reservation, so we had to sit outside. Unfortunately, the Pork Knuckle and Roasted Pork were already sold out! You really need to book in advance and come early to get them.
We ordered other dishes instead, and I think the food was very tasty! It’s actually the best German food I’ve had during my trip. The price is also reasonable. Highly recommended!"

For a good hearty German dinner, I recommend the restaurant zum Wildschutz downtown which serves big portions and good beer(the Farmer's Pan is good but make sure you get the apfel strudel). For a great dessert, get a Windbeutel (plate sized home-made cream puff with strawberries) at Almhutte near the Kramerplateauweg. There is a neat little white church about halfway up the Zugspitz on the Kramerplateauweg with a nice path going up from Zoepritzstrasse (off from Maximillianstrasse) in Garmisch.
