Reviews Summary

Markthalle Neun is praised for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse international food options, especially during Street Food Thursday. Visitors love the quality and affordability of the offerings, from dumplings to pizza. While some find it can get crowded and a bit hot, the authentic local vibe and unique culinary discoveries make it a highly recommended spot in Berlin.

"Great atmosphere, with a wide range of food and drink options from around the world. It’s fun to walk around and try different stalls — we had handmade dumplings, empanadas, and some natural wine. It can get pretty crowded, especially on Thursday street food nights, but that’s also part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Berlin and looking to explore something casual and local."

David

"I loved this place! You can find food for all tastes and all the market looks so cute.

I tried the marzipan ice cream at Rosa Canina, they have nice flavors and you can choose from different sizes. I got the smallest cup.

Also, went to Mani in Pasta to try their fresh pasta made by Italians with their amazing sauces! You will not regret eating here.

All prices are pretty affordable and you can eat from different stalls."

Gicela Carvantes

"A pretty local market with fresh food, flowers, bread, and sausages! I truly enjoyed my time looking around trying little bit of everything! Locals also came for lunch having wine, burgers, and other food. There is a little seating area by the bread store ◡̈"

Thanks to the efforts of local activists, this century-old market hall was saved from becoming a chain supermarket and instead turned into a center for local food vendors, chefs, wine dealers, and brewers. From Monday to Saturday, a large and rotating variety of food and drink is on offer for lunch and all afternoon; Tuesday to Saturday finds the weekly market with tempting food products for sale, from fruits and vegetables to bread and fish (with an expanded market on Friday and Saturday); and the space also hosts a dazzling array of rotating events, so it's best to check what's on before heading there.
