Diners praise the flavorful, colorful plates and the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. "Very delicious. The concept is one price for the chef menu with unlimited refill as soon as you can finish your food.
For the price paid very well done.
Drinks are nice as well.
I recommend to come here in group.
But for two people it’s also nice."

"I come here every time I am in Berlin. The food is just outstanding! A wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes with exceptional flavours. My favourite is the brunch on the weekend and the wide selection of starters. The staff is super friendly and the vibe in general is very relaxed. I also had the set evening menu before which is also outstanding. I will definitely come back again."

"I loved the food here! It's a wonderful blend of Israeli and Palestinian dishes, all vegetarian (but vegan is possible). The food is served as a fixed menu which came as a relaxing difference to other places I visited. And don't worry about not having enough - we were asked multiple times if we needed more of anything.
Additionally, I want to point out their cocktails. They lean on the sweeter side, but can be boozy. I want to point out their Arak mixes as my favorites.
It's a smaller place, but bigger groups can be supported. I strongly suggest to reserve in advance. However, same day reservations are possible if your group is small enough (and especially for two).
I can't say if this place is good enough for one person, tho. Online they say that coming along could be a problem, but the menus in the restaurant mentioned that you can order for a single person (it just costs more)."

19 Best Restaurants in Berlin, From Kebab Shops to Tasting Menus
Home to what many consider the best hummus in town, along with other tempting vegetarian Middle Eastern salads and baked goods, Kanaan was founded by Oz Ben David, an Israeli, and Jalil Debit, a Palestinian. In a lively, welcoming peacock blue and white space just north of Helmholtzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg, Kanaan serves up a wide variety of small plates for lunch and big portions of mezze and mains to share for dinner. If you don’t have a (highly recommended) reservation, you’ll almost certainly have to stand in line to order and then wait a bit for your food; this a hugely popular place.
The Best Vegetarian And Vegan Restaurants In Berlin
As well as serving what the restaurant claims is the best hummus in Berlin, Kanaan bridges the gap between German and Israeli-Palestinian palates. Typical German Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes), for example, use tahini rather than eggs and flour, in a creative fusion of the two cuisines. Fresh salads, hummus plates with various seasonal toppings, falafel made from a secret family recipe and veggie döners can be enjoyed in the restaurant’s simple yet chic interior space, or on the large outdoor terrace.

Jointly run by a Palestinian and an Israeli chef, Kanaan offers an excellent range of vegetarian and vegan delights and claims to make the best hummus in Berlin. It’s beside the train tracks and, on sunny days, there’s nothing better than sitting in the warm air and watching the trains go by. A particular crowd-pleaser is the turmeric rösti, a modern take on the German potato cake – hot, salty, fried, crisp goodness.

Berlin's best restaurants: 101 places to eat right now
It’s an irresistible hook: An Israeli marketer and a Palestinian chef meet in Berlin, bond over their shared culinary traditions and go into business together, eventually employing Syrian refugees as well. But Jalil Dabit and Oz Ben David’s Prenzlauer Berg restaurant has more to offer diners than a feel-good story. The hummus is fantastic, whether served on its own, in a sabich with eggplant, hard-boiled egg, mango sauce and spicy salsa, or as “hummshuka” with tomato-pepper sauce and a poached egg.
