Reviews Summary
Le Galet is praised for its stunning beachfront location and chic yet relaxed atmosphere, offering delicious Italian cuisine with generous portions, particularly seafood. While many highlight the exceptional service and food quality, some guests have noted occasional inattentiveness from staff.
"We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking along the beach, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We didn’t have a reservation, so we waited about 30 minutes but during that time, they seated us on the beach chairs where we enjoyed a drink while the kids played by the sea and we took in the beautiful view. Once we were seated, we ordered the linguine with seafood, grilled octopus tentacles, Caesar salad, and pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the warm, friendly service made the experience even better. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely come back!"

"We lined up at 9am to get daybeds at Le Galet and also had made a lunch reservation several days beforehand. We got the last daybeds, so would recommend lining up before 9am if you’re trying to get daybeds (they don’t take daybed reservations). It was a beautiful place and the a classy but chill crowd. The staff was very helpful. They do charge extra if you want to rent towels in addition to the daybeds, or you can bring your own towels.
As for lunch, the server was very friendly and helpful. Similar chill, classy, beach vibes at lunch. Reservation is recommended if you’re trying to go during the height of the lunch hour. The Caesar salad was awesome and came with chicken. The tuna was good too, but the Caesar was better. The table over got the pizza which looked really good too."

"Galet was the perfect beach day in Nice. The amenities were top-notch—comfortable loungers, great service, and easy access to the water. We stayed for lunch and were blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. From the seafood to the salads, every dish felt thoughtful and high quality. Add in the stunning sea views, and it’s hard to imagine a better spot to relax, eat, and soak up the Riviera sun. Highly recommend!
We were able to reserve a spot through our hotel but get here early to get a spot since I believe they do not take reservations"

My Favorite Airbnb in France: An Antique-Filled Apartment in Nice
The best two in Nice are Castel and Le Galet, both about a 15-minute walk from the Airbnb. Le Galet is one of the only beach clubs that stays open in the winter and they put tables out right on the beach for lunch if it’s sunny (which, of course, it nearly always is). And don’t skimp on paying for a sun lounger: Sitting on a towel on the hard pebbles is unpleasant, though the real perk is that a waiter will bring you drinks and food.

Another offering from local restaurant dynasty, the Gusto family (of Boccaccio, La Favola, and La Voglia fame), Le Galet is a beach bar and restaurant with a ready-made fanbase hungry for generous portions of tasty Italian food (and healthier options including its colour explosion of a poke bowl) accompanied by a bottle of crisp, Provencal rosé at the water’s edge. Save some room for the huge desserts – you can always sleep off the indulgence on one of the inviting waterfront sun loungers.
