Not the most beautiful cafe in the world, or in Helsinki for that matter, Kaffa Roastery is housed by the side of the Moko Market, a really nice home accessories shop that actually includes another cafe / bistro. The roastery itself is more espresso bar than cafe, but our coffee was good (the flat white was absurdly large but it had a full body and nutty flavor, and the Aeropress had nice, fresh acidity) and the different beans were explained well. A good place to buy local beans though, and we could actually sit in the shop’s bistro instead.

Internationally well-regarded Kaffa is on a must-visit list for coffee tourists in Helsinki. This is perhaps the city’s most influential coffee bar and remains a bastion of high-quality roasting and brewing. To help customers choose their favorite coffees, Kaffa color codes the bags to distinguish between “fruity & floral,” “smooth & chocolatey,” and “sweet & dark berries.

Named Finland’s best coffee shop at the 2018 Helsinki Coffee Festival, Kaffa Roastery is a welcoming enclave for connoisseurs. From inside the café, you can see the roastery, immersing yourself in the craftsmanship behind every cup. Inside the café, you get a direct view of the roastery, letting you witness the craft behind every batch. The Cupping Club is a free coffee tasting event held once a month here at Kaffa. In honor of Helsinki Coffee Week, we now want to organize two mini-versions of the Cupping Club on Tuesday, October 29th at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM in the Showroom at the Kaffa Roastery bar. This time, our classics will be featured on the cupping table.

Finland’s ruling Best Coffee Place, as voted at the Helsinki Coffee Festival 2019, definitely earned its title!. Here you can find specialty coffees, latte art, workshops, tastings, and now even merch!. The roastery and café are separated by glass, offering you a glimpse of the controlled steps that go into the roasting process.

One of Finland’s oldest specialty-coffee roasters, Kaffa Roastery has been roasting fresh and tasty coffees since 2007. It all started when Svante had a dazzling idea: According to statistics, Finns drink the most coffee in the world. Would it be possible to ensure that they also drink some of the best coffees in the world?

Kaffa Roastery is one of our favorite coffee shops in Helsinki. We had the best hand brew of our trip here – a natural Ethiopian with notes of vanilla, bergamot, and strawberry. We also enjoyed the funky and fruity natural Colombian, and the almond croissant was a great sidecar.

Some coffee shops to check out in Helsinki include the Kaffa Roastery, Rams Roasters, and Andante Speciality Coffee. Additionally, Robert's Coffee is the most popular local coffee shop chain – it's far more wide-spread and popular than Starbucks here.

This one is located in the heart of the Design District, in Southern Helsinki. They roast their coffees at the same location, and you might see the roasting in action. Kaffa has a little shop as well for you to buy their coffees to bring home.

Kaffa Roastery is highly praised by so many of my friends and acquaintances. I can confirm that there is a reason for that!. Their coffee is divine – no wonder they have won so many awards, you’ll see all the diplomas for yourself.

Kaffa Roastery, St. George Bakery, and Ipi Kulmakuppila deserve a special mention too. They might not be as popular as Cafe Engel and Ekberg, but they serve delicious coffee and sweet buns. And probably have less tourists.
