I also enjoyed a brilliant meal at Vegan Restoran V, Tallinn’s most popular vegan restaurant, where it’s difficult to get a table due to its fame and its small size (I did it by going at 3pm, between lunch and dinner) – all of the menu looked amazing, but I settled on the tofu and quinoa burrito in mango sauce, and a glass of Estonian rhubarb sparkling wine, both of which were delicious. I also found it easy to purchase breakfast and snack foods, including high quality fresh fruit, in the local supermarkets (Rimi Express or Rimi Mini).

Every dish on the menu is vegan and they have many (clearly marked) gluten free and wheat free dishes. One of my favorite starters at V is their beetroot ravioli with cashew cheese, but you can also go for a snack platter with many delicious snacks like grilled tofu and vegan cheese to share with your friends. For your main course you could for example go for the grilled tempeh served with many vegetables and brown basmati rice with a tomato coconut sauce.

A visit to V will get rid of any thoughts that vegan food is boring – even many meat-lovers rank V as one of their favourite eateries. The 30-seat restaurant is practically always full, so try to book ahead if you can.

The winner of vegan food in Tallinn had to be Vegan Restoran V, located in the Old Town. This place definitely had more of a restaurant feel to it, compared with NOP and Vegan Inspiratsioon. It’s very small inside, so booking a table was essential.

Just a few steps from Vegan V, this restaurant is located in the Old Town. Rataskaevu 16 boasts more than 7000 reviews on TripAdvisor and with good reason. Besides, they have the best black bread ever eaten, real goodness!.

Hesburger - cheap (not so much anymore yay inflation) and hits the spot. Take the veg burger without cheese and the soy stick wrap without cheese, sub the paprika mayo for chilli mayo, which is vegan

Vegan Resturan V – A fully vegan menu with plenty of ‘wheat free’ and GF options. Allergens are all really clearly marked on the menu. The menu offering for GF is limited, but the food is renowned.

Vegan Restoran V – the legendary V is one of the first completely vegan restaurants in this region. A cosy, small place with very friendly and professional service is made for date nights.
