"El Pedregal Azteca is one of the most charming Mexican restaurants in Cuenca.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but I highly recommend sitting on their rooftop on a nice day. The view of the city from the rooftop, especially of the cathedral is 🤌👌.
El Pedregal Azteca's decor is stunning, and the staff is extremely kind and attentive. The restaurant has a fun and lively vibe that makes dining there a fun experience.
The prices at El Pedregal Azteca are very reasonable. I couldn't resist ordering more than one dish 😋 The complimentary chips and salsa were amazing. I highly recommend trying the guacamole with Chicharrón's served with a side of corn tortillas, Taquito's Al Pastor, and the rice pudding and flan for dessert (the rice pudding and flan 🤩) you have to order!
Overall, everything I ate was delicious! I am looking forward to going back to El Pedregal Azteca again soon. It's a cool place to hang out and enjoy good food. El Pedregal Azteca is a 10/10."

"Very good Mexican food and good prices.
Service was slow to start and I had to ask for salt and utensils.
Ordered pico de gallo and didn't receive it.
The salsa verde was too salty and I like salt😱
Guacamole needs more lime juice.
The only reason they received 3 stars was due to forgetting the pico de gallo and having salsa that was too salty.
I still highly recommend this place as it's not my first visit and I will be here again.
I really didn't want to give this place a 3.
I was here a few years ago and the rating then was 4 to 4.5.
Growth comes with pain."

"From my experience it's the best Mexican restaurant in Cuenca. Being from southern California myself it's not that easy to find Mexican flavors here. The salsas are quite Mexican! It's a lovely place."

This magical Mexican restaurant is so close to our El Centro home we can describe the distance in steps. Out the door to the right, then left down the street and here we are. We literally almost trip across this Mexican restaurant one day, as they have a sandwich board out on the sidewalk for the lunch specials.
