Reviews Summary

Bandido Brewing is celebrated for its exceptionally unique atmosphere within a historic colonial building, complemented by a wide array of creative craft beers and attentive service. While the ambiance and brews receive high praise, some find the food to be average, though items like cheese triangles and nachos are noted as tasty. It's a popular spot, especially on weekends, offering a vibrant experience with live music and games.

"What a really cool brewery! There’s literally a chapel and a lot of religious decor and things which is interesting. I’m not religious but not sure how many places you can find like this! The beer was good and you can also buy cans and bottles to go! They have a huge food menu and live music as well!"

Mark L

"Warm and friendly atmosphere with welcoming staff and great beers. The tacos and nachos were simple but tasty and good portions. Perfect for a chilled evening out near the centro historico we’d love to go back!"

Isabella Bridges

"Hit it 👍🏿👎🏿! Definitely a really cool experience. The drinks were good and I love their branding. I did find the food to just be average. Atmosphere inside was really nice and they have security guards out front. It can get busy so I would go a little bit earlier if you can."

Ecuador's craft beer scene is small but growing, and the best way to taste it is at Quito's first microbrewery, less than 10 minutes' walk from Iglesia de San Agustín. An 1850s colonial building is the grand setting for this expat hot spot, where the six pizzas on offer go nicely with the six taps of craft beer. The chocolate stout, heavy and smooth, is a treat after a long day of sightseeing.

Similarly, Bandido offers both locally brewed beer & food (and it’s right across the street from Community!). Perhaps the most memorable thing about this place, however, is the setting — its building used to be a chapel and the owners decided to hang onto the religious imagery. Because of that, you can enjoy a local microbrew while Jesus rolls his eyes at you!
