@host.bakery I have tried every bakery in copenhagen, the best of the best… but this one ohhh myy. Høst amazed me. The pastery is warm, flakey, and every bite feels like home. The best BMO, with some kind of bagel seasoning on the bread but with like a smokey taste. Sooo good. Drinks on point aswell. Reviews Summary

Høst offers a New Nordic dining experience praised for its creative dishes, beautiful presentation, and award-winning rustic-chic ambiance. Many diners rave about the tasting menus and surprise elements, highlighting unique flavors and value for fine dining. However, some reviews mention issues with the pacing of service, consistency in flavor due to cream-heavy sauces, and occasional service mishaps.

"The most incredible experience. We had the three course meal and it was amazing. Three courses, with just the main to choose. In between there were little surprise tasters. All were delicious. The beef was incredible. I asked for no sauce as I do not like mushrooms and they went to the kitchen and got me an alternative. Friendly and attentive staff. Gorgeous decor with lots of plants and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a nice meal."

Jo Patman

"Really cool tasting menus with farm to table vibes, feels like you’re eating in a barn. We did the 5 course tasting menu and it turned out to be closer to a 10 course tasting menu because they kept bringing us surprise after surprise of dishes that were not on the menu, it kept us on our toes. We especially loved the scallops, chicken, mussel soup, chocolate truffles, and petit four! Servers were very nice, although pace of service was a bit all over the place. Overall a very cool experience with unique food for a good price for a fine dining tasting menu, definitely would try again!"

Ben Teich

"Delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere! We ordered the 5 course menu and highly recommend it! They have multiple “surprise” dishes throughout the courses which were nicely timed and very good. The mussel soup was incredible and the lobster entree. Only thing I would change is the beef entree was very large and hard to cut. I think the overall flavor of the dish would benefit from a reduction in the amount of meat served.

Also request the back room if possible, there is greenery everywhere that adds to the cozy feeling."

Rustic Design at Its Best This place is an interesting blend. In the recent Danish tradition, it is a partnership between a number of different creative types. This time, those personalities happen to be design-oriented people from the food, interior design, and dinnerware design communities. This restaurant has focused completely on providing a rich, intensely rustic experience that embodies modern trends in both the New Nordic cuisine movement and Danish design. Recent offerings include flounder with fried chicken skin and sauce made from fermented asparagus and grilled lobster with juniper pancake and pointed cabbage. Photo: Höst.
