Reviews Summary

Aarhus Street Food is lauded as a must-visit destination with an incredible variety of international cuisines and a lively, industrial atmosphere. While many praise the diverse options, great seating, and child-friendly environment, some find that certain international dishes may cater more to local tastes than authentic flavors.

"A MUST VISIT
This is a great place to visit. Plenty of small street food cars - lots of choices.
We have been here several times, and we always have a good time.
They do also have public restrooms - normally nice and clean.
There are indoor as well as outdoor seating areas.
Definitely a must visit when in Århus."

Dan Mark

"Interesting food hall concept where you can sample cuisines from around the world, and a great place to eat with friends and share food. You have great selection of drinks, desserts and mains. With that being said, some food stalls definitely are better quality than others. We tried some of the Asian food, and most of them cater more to local tastes than being authentic. Boils down to your preference, but if you're looking for authenticity, don't have too high of an expectation."

Luke Phang

"I had the chance to visit the Aarhus Street Food Market during a one-day stop while on a cruise, and it was absolutely worth it! I had seen several YouTube videos highlighting the market and made a point of including it in my short time in Aarhus—and I’m so glad I did. It definitely lived up to the hype.
The market is located just a short walk from the train station and is cleverly housed in repurposed shipping containers, which gives it a cool, industrial vibe that fits perfectly with the laid-back but lively atmosphere. There’s a great mix of indoor and semi-outdoor seating, making it a comfortable spot to hang out whether it’s sunny or raining.
What really stood out was the incredible variety of food options. From traditional Danish smørrebrød to flavorful Thai noodles, fresh tacos, juicy burgers, and more, there’s something for absolutely every taste. The international flavors are authentic and well-prepared, and I loved that you could see each vendor putting care and heart into what they served. I ended up trying a few different dishes to get the full experience, and everything was delicious. There are also drink options, including local beers and specialty cocktails, and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy them.
The market was clean, well-organized, and had a vibrant, welcoming feel. Whether you're a foodie, a casual traveler, or just looking for a memorable place to eat, Aarhus Street Food Market is a must-visit.
Would 100% recommend making this a stop—even if you're just in Aarhus for the day!"

Aarhus, Denmark: what to see, plus the best restaurants, bars and hotels | Aarhus holidays

In a former car park near the bus station, Aarhus Street Food was an instant hit when it opened last summer. A wide range of vendors operate out of recycled shipping containers. As well as staples such as banh mi, shawarma and tacos, there are Danish dishes such as dumplings in curry at Grandma’s House and roast pork sandwiches at Stegen og Dellen – both best washed down with a beer from Ølfred.

48 hours in Aarhus, Denmark: What to do and where to go

Head to Aarhus Street Food, a casual market with independent food trucks including Stegen & Dellen, serving Danish meatball sarnies with heaps of crackling, and condensed street food incarnations of restaurants such as Copenhagen’s Grød, which serves porridge, risotto and daal. Fancy a visit to Denmark? – Aarhus is a haunting place

We visited two food halls too – Aarhus Central Food Market (tip: go for the award-winning Hungry Dane Burgers) and, much jollier, Aarhus Street Food, a recent arrival, inevitably based in recycled shipping containers. Our visit to the latter coincided with the city’s annual Royal Run, offering a range of sweaty challenges up to 10K.
