What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Gare is celebrated as a gem for authentic French cuisine in Prague, with many praising its elegant ambiance and attentive service, particularly highlighting dishes like Beef Wellington and escargots. However, some diners have found the food to be merely decent, with occasional issues regarding preparation or service speed, suggesting an inconsistency between high expectations and delivered experience.
"Great place if you look for other-than-Czech cuisine in the center of Prague. This modern French restaurant offers diversified menu for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. Dishes are prepared of top quality ingredients, with attention to details and ultimately taste. I can particularly recommend fish soup with tomatoes and delicious calamari with vegetables and souse. Prices are not low, but reasonable compared to portion size and good job of the chef. The only drawback is relatively long waiting time for the ordered meal."

"Enjoyed this place a lot during my trip to Prague! Food were fantastic, especially the Salad with Tuna, such a flavor bomb. Portions were generous too🥹.
Thank you Isa for the amazing service! Such a delight. 👍🏻"

"Delicious and cozy French spot in the centre of Prague. The wine was delightful, perfect service. I got the Niçoise salad with very tasty tuna and tried the very thin “pizza”. The crust is very innocent. The Onion soup is as almost better than in Paris. In case you decide to go for the dessert, they show them to you “live” before you choose."
