The Best Meal in Cyprus… and There’s No Menu! After spending a few days in Paphos, I finally discovered the legendary 7 St. Georges Tavern. There’s no menu, no fuss — the moment you sit down, the owner just starts bringing dish after dish… From small starters to wild greens, homemade sides, and grilled meats — it literally doesn’t stop! 🍃 Everything is cooked with locally grown vegetables, foraged...

A true hidden gem in Paphos. 📍7 St George’s. Family-run, serving only what they grow & source themselves – wine, meat, veg, all local & fresh. No menu, just dish after dish until you’re full… and all of this (plus a bottle of their own wine!) for only £60. We first discovered this spot 9 years ago & it’s still our favourite every time we come back. #fyp #paphos #cyprusfood #localproduce #hidde...

Reviews Summary

Diners rave about 7 St. George's Tavern for its exceptional meze experience, featuring an endless parade of delicious, fresh, and authentic Cypriot dishes. The warm hospitality and cozy, rustic atmosphere are consistently praised, creating a memorable and welcoming dining experience. While most reviews are glowing, one diner reported a negative experience related to hygiene and hygiene concerns.

"Absolutely outstanding food and even better service. I broke my own rule of not going to the same place twice – I just couldn’t resist going back. Fresh food, incredible homemade red wine.

Ben, who runs the place with his brother, is an absolute gem. Warm, welcoming and with a voice so smooth he could narrate a meditation podcast - honestly, I could’ve listened to him talk all night. The atmosphere is just as incredible as the food: relaxed, full of character, and exactly what you hope for in a perfect Cypriot evening. This is my second trip to Paphos, and without a doubt, the best place I’ve eaten across both visits."

Daniel Mark Carr

"A wonderful taverna with a unique concept — you only order drinks, and all the food is brought out to you one dish at a time.

The dishes were delicious, fresh, and local. The atmosphere was quiet, calm, and intimate.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and everyone enjoyed it.

What stood out to me the most was the service. A young man greeted us, and even though we hadn’t booked a table, he found one for us. He asked if there were any allergies and understood that we eat kosher, then served us the dishes in the right order.

I highly recommend visiting this place — but it’s best to reserve a table in advance."

Dan Oleynik

"Possibly the best meal of the week. Mezze at an authentic taverna. Food just kept coming. Great vegan options. We had to call timeout but they wanted to keep serving. The plates show what I thought was the aftermath but there were still 2 more rounds after this one."

This restaurant has not only the most delicious food in Paphos, but it is also the most charming place to dine. Everyone from locals to tourists in the know come to experience owner George's inventive Cypriot cooking, which includes a preponderance of fresh, seasonal, and often organic ingredients, and lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. St. Georges has no written menu, just a prix-fixe offering of mezedes—a seemingly endless parade of small plates from cheeses to vegetables from the restaurant's own garden to meats smoked in-house, along with tasty homemade wine.
