"I couldn’t rate this restaurant 5 stars for food as one of the dishes we ordered (Bakiou) was unnecessarily greasy at the bottom of the polenta making it very heavy. The cod on top was delicious however. The rest of what we ordered, Lengua and Karni stobá were 5 stars dishes. The ambience and service are great and the food is a modern interpretation of local cuisine. The restaurant has no indoor seating. I would return and lean towards ordering lighter food recipes however."

This boho-chic resto inside the Kura Hulanda Village is open all day, but it’s breakfast spread should not be missed. Serving up a platter filled with local treats like sweet buns and fresh fruit, along with the usual bacon and eggs, RustiQ is a great spot to fuel up for the day and grab a few photo ops along the way.
Best Restaurants in Willemstad, Curaçao (to Eat Like Locals!)
We happened upon the newly-opened Rustiq on our free walking tour of Willemstad, located directly across from the Kura Hulanda Museum. The stunning mural, greenery lining the walls, and unique tables made out of tree trunks instantly pulled us in and we knew we had to return. Rustiq is tucked away off the main footpath and pedestrian traffic, so it’s not overly busy like some other more prominent restaurants.

Dit is een prachtig openlucht restaurant vlakbij de Pontjesbrug waar enkel typisch Caribische gerechten op het menu staan. Zo at ik hier gebakken plantain (bakbanaan) met gegrilde groentes en had mijn tafelgenoot gestoofd geitenvlees. In Willemstad kan het lastig zijn om traditionele gerechten te vinden, dus als je eens wat lokaler wilt eten is RustiQ een dikke aanrader.

Kura Hulanda is thé place for stylish shopping and a lovely setting, both at day and night. This little village in Otrabanda has souvenir and clothing shops, as well as restaurants and a museum. Rustiq is located at the end, just across from the historic museum, with a great menu for lunch and dinner.

Directly in front of the Kura Hulanda Museum, we stopped in for breakfast at RustiQ. They had been open for a half hour when we sat down. The tables were completely empty except for one man sitting in the corner, but nobody gave us the time of day.
