Diners rave about dishes like the black risotto and the chef's fish selection, emphasizing the quality of ingredients and skillful cooking. "Due to traffic we got to Split later than intended and were severely late for our booking, but the staff worked their magic with a table. The chef’s fish selection was a hearty plate of 4 different types of fresh fish, meant for 2 but could easily feed 3, and the wine selection paired very well with the fish we had. A very good start to our stay in the city!"

"4 days ago, I asked ChatGPT for a seafood spot in Split, and it pointed me to this place. When I looked it up on Google, I saw the owner’s hilarious replies to some bad reviews like stand up comedy level and I knew I had to check it out. So my friend and I came here… and wow, what a great decision!
The prawn cream soup and grilled fish were amazing. The chef’s selection came with four kinds of fish ,each one had its own vibe and texture, and all of them were super tasty. The portion was huge.Honestly, three people could share it. The fish was super fresh, grilled just right: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The seasoning was simple but spot-on, letting the fish shine. Hands down, the best grilled fish I’ve had in Croatia.
Also, don’t sleep on the bread and olive oil—they were surprisingly good. You can really taste the quality.
I’d totally recommend this place to anyone coming to Split. I’m already planning to come back next time I’m in town!"

"The fish platter was out of this world!!! We were fortunate to have tuna so fresh that is was in the sea 1 hour before it was served to us. We have had many fish options during our stay in Croatia and Konoba Fetivi was definitely the best! It was simply prepared and perfectly cooked! Absolutely delicious!! The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend!!"

An authentically-Dalmatian gem, Konoba Fetivi is an informal dining experience that places the region's bountiful ingredients centre stage and presents them unfussily and respectfully. Run by a family who have been in the neighbourhood for 300 years, they serve local specialities, including many meat dishes, but the seafood takes pride of place on the menu. Wholly dependent on the season and what's been caught, the seafood menu alters by the day (as do individual dishes such as the shared seafood platter).

12 Best Restaurants in Split, Croatia: Where to Eat
It sits just outside the tourist crush of the Riva in the old Varoš neighborhood — a quieter corner of the city where life still feels lived-in. This is classic Dalmatian cooking, well-sourced seafood, and time-honored recipes. I came for the grilled fish — caught that morning, simply seasoned, and cooked over an open flame — and stayed for the black risotto, rich and briny with cuttlefish, and the slow-cooked pašticada that tasted like it had been simmering for hours (because it had).
