If you want the best views of Dubrovnik, Panorama restaurant is hard to beat as it’s set right on top of the mountain. I was lucky enough to get a booking a few days prior to our stay in Dubrovnik (I literally booked using my mobile phone on the bus ride from the airport into town!) However it was a weekday and at a very odd time slot, 3.00pm, due to there being a handful of tables with a view. We’re shown to our table and order drinks – a house white (64 kn) and a Pipi soft drink (44 kn), so that we can relax to the view over Old Town and the Adriatic sea.

There’s a gorgeous restaurant at the top of the mountain called Panorama but make sure you pre-book, if you want to get a seat. We couldn’t get a table, for love nor money, which was a disappointing blow after hiking and daydreaming about ice-cream for an hour!

I can’t speak to the food or the prices because I didn’t eat there, but it sure did look nice. Remember, Dubrovnik was one of the most expensive cities I visited in a 2 month journey through 13 countries in eastern and southern Europe.

The picturesque beach club is situated on an island off Dubrovnik and only accessible via a short boat ride. Booking in advance is essential and the restaurant can organise a water shuttle transfer for an extra cost

The views from the restaurant are absolutely incredible – if you’re lucky enough to get a table nearest the mountain cliff edge (which is safer than it sounds and are the best tables to sit at to enjoy the views).
