What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mirador Tiquicia offers a truly magical experience with its stunning panoramic views of San Jose, particularly at night. Diners rave about the breathtaking scenery and the vibrant cultural shows featuring traditional Costa Rican music and dance. While the food is generally considered good, some reviewers find it to be average for the price, with one negative review mentioning disappointing cocktails and a buffet experience. The drive up can be steep, but most agree the view makes it worthwhile.
"For our last night in San Jose, I wanted to take my girls to a memorable place to eat. I had researched, and I discovered that Mirador Tiquicia had one of the best views in the city. I don't have a point of comparison, but the view was spectacular. The restaurant was huge, but not many people on that night. We were served by a very courteous waiter named Ronal. He was bilingual as many Costa Ricans seem to be. The food was quickly delivered and devoured. Before we left Ronal gave us a sample of the hot sauce to take home. The drive with all it's turns was an adventure but we'll worth it. Plenty of parking available."
Michael Garcia
"The restaurant is a little out of the way, but the long drive up the hill results in a beautiful view of San Jose. The food was very good, as was the service. Definitely a nice restaurant for a wonderful dining experience. If it is raining, bring an umbrella and a jacket to keep warm and dry."

"Great view point and wonderful food. They try to keep it authentic CR flavors by not including imported food as much as possible and this place gives you nice vibes of a traditional home style ambiance and tasty food"
