A Taste of India in Costa Rica – Even Impressed a New Yorker!
As someone from New York, where we’re spoiled with amazing international cuisine, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Indian food in Costa Rica. But Namaste Indian Restaurant completely amazed me!
I ordered the Lasooni Chicken, Lamb Seekh Kebabs, and Angara Paneer as starters, and every single dish was bursting with rich, authentic flavors. The Lasooni Chicken had the perfect garlicky punch, the Lamb Seekh Kebabs were tender and expertly spiced, and the Angara Paneer was smoky, fiery, and absolutely delicious.
What really stood out was that the food was clearly made with love and passion. You can feel the heart and soul behind every dish—it’s not just about good ingredients, but the care and authenticity that went into preparing them.
Even coming from New York, this meal left a lasting impression. Namaste Indian Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving real Indian food in Costa Rica. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m here!
I wish I can give more than 5 stars"

"We had dinner at this Indian restaurant tonight — and what can I say? It was simply a dream. The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by the warm, aromatic scent of Indian spices and an atmosphere that feels authentic, cozy, and inviting all at once. The service was attentive, friendly, and helpful right from the start, without ever being intrusive.
The menu is truly a paradise for everyone: whether you’re a meat lover, vegan, or vegetarian — there is something here for everyone to enjoy. In fact, this place is a wonderland for vegetarians. The variety of vegetarian curries, dals, and tandoori dishes is impressive, and each one is full of fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced spices, and an incredible depth of flavor.
We make it a point to eat Indian food in almost every country we visit — and we can honestly say: this was one of, if not the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to. Every dish was perfectly cooked, from the seasoning to the texture, and everything was served hot, fresh, and beautifully presented.
The portions were generous and satisfying without compromising on quality. The value for money is excellent, and the entire experience left us wishing we could come back again and again.
In short: if you love Indian food — or even if you’ve never tried it — do yourself a favor and come here. It’s a little piece of paradise on earth, and vegetarians, in particular, will feel like they’ve stepped straight into a culinary wonderland."

"I grew up in a city with an extremely high Indian population in California and so I had a lot of exposure to Indian food. My family would eat curry at least once a week and with so many Indians we had exposure to foods from across the subcontinent.
That said when I saw an Indian restaurant with thousands of reviews and a consistent five stars in Manuel Antonio I was convinced that it must be fabricated. Turns out I was wrong.
Namaste has some of the best Indian food that I’ve had the pleasure of eating. The chefs there can easily compete with any in Delhi or Hyderabad.
My wife and I went here for my birthday and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend their butter chicken as it was perfectly spiced.
The one caveat I was surprised to see was beef on their menu (Hindus make up a majority of Indians and it’s against their beliefs to eat beef) but it’s probably because it’s what locals here expect.
I’ll be coming back the next time I’m in MA"
