Diners rave about Alambique's enchanting garden atmosphere and inventive, delicious food, often calling it a hidden gem. The creative cocktails are a significant highlight. While the ambiance and flavors are widely praised, some visitors mention that the service can be slow, suggesting a need for patience.
"I was so excited to try this restaurant after seeing the glowing photos and reviews and it did not disappoint! The entrance felt like a hidden speakeasy: you walk through a shop and gallery before stepping into an oasis filled with lush plants and charming antiques. I loved how the decor blended nature with whimsical trinkets, creating such a unique atmosphere. Even the menu was an artistic creation!
The food was absolutely mouthwatering! My taste buds were in heaven! We shared the oyster mushrooms and meatball platters, and I highly recommend both. The oyster mushrooms were fried to crispy perfection and drizzled with a sweet sauce, while the meatballs were wrapped in flaky puff pastry with a creamy cheese center that tied all the flavors together in every bite.
I’ll definitely be returning and recommend this spot to both tourists and locals looking for a memorable dining experience."

"Alambique – A Lush Culinary Escape in Medellín
Alambique is one of Medellín’s most captivating dining experiences. Hidden away like a secret garden, its jungle-like rooftop atmosphere blends lush greenery, warm lighting, and eclectic decor, creating a cozy, almost magical vibe that immediately draws you in.
The cocktail menu is a true highlight. Each drink is artfully crafted, both in flavor and presentation. Standouts include the Aurora Boreal, a refreshing and vibrant mix, and the Popol Vuh, a bold and aromatic creation. If you're seeking something local, the Medellín Guarapo offers a tropical twist with regional flair.
The food is equally impressive, blending Colombian roots with inventive touches. The Ceviche de Chicharrón is a deliciously surprising twist on a classic, combining crispy pork belly with a zesty leche de tigre. The Torta de Chócolo y Tres Cerdos layers sweet corn cake with ribs, pork belly, and cheese—rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. For something hearty, the Brisket—slow-cooked for 10 hours—is smoky and tender, served with native potatoes and roasted tomatoes. And don’t miss the Canasta de Buñuelos, crispy cheese fritters filled with shrimp cocktail, served alongside a shot of coconut lemonade with rum.
Service is warm and attentive. Staff members are passionate about the menu and happy to share recommendations or explain ingredients, enhancing the overall experience.
Alambique is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination. Perfect for a special night out, a romantic dinner, or simply sipping cocktails in a lush, hidden oasis above the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Medellín who wants to discover a unique, elevated take on Colombian cuisine in an unforgettable setting."

"This place is a true gem! We really loved the ambiance, decor and overall concept! The only thing they need improvement is the wait time, considering that the place was not busy at all, it took way too long for the food to arrive, to the point that we lost appetite waiting for our last entree and we only ordered two. The drink I had was amazingly good! I recommend this place because the food is really good but go with patience."
