It is set in a huge former mansion and has some pretty tables inside as well as a gorgeous courtyard dominated by a giant tree. The food here is also great with a variety of seafood and other dishes that highlight traditional Colombian food served up elegantly. There is also frequently live music and dance performances on the mini stage in the courtyard which adds to the charm.

Restaurante Candé was definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Cartagena, Colombia. Not only do you get the type of top-notch cuisine associated with fine dining, but you also get a killer atmosphere, amazing service, and a cultural show!. Looking at the lavish interior design and the high-end menu, you’d never guess how affordable the meal would end up being.

Cande Cocina immerses diners in the vibrant flavors of traditional Colombian cuisine, all within a chic and energetic setting. Located in the San Diego neighborhood of Cartagena, it combines the richness of Caribbean ingredients with a modern dining approach. : The restaurant offers live local music, giving diners a full sensory experience of Cartagena’s culture.

Candé Restaurant is particularly vibrant with colourfully dressed dancers and performers, whilst Doña Lola’s Caribbean dishes are serenaded by violinists and a cellist. There’s also a cosy roof terrace at Doña Lola, perfect for after-dinner cocktails. Super-cool Agua de Leon is the place to be for its fusion cuisine, minimalist interiors and ambient lighting.

Candé is newer to the food scene but has quickly become one of the most popular restaurants here, and for good reason. It's the most Cartagena upscale restaurant in the city. From the decor to the music & dance (during lunch and dinner), to the staff's outfits, it's the best way to really experience the local culture through a culinary experience.

Servers wear colonial outfits and the dining room is in a beautiful setting. About once an hour, a traditional dance performance took place. Everything on the menu sounds phenomenal, and the presentation of the food was incredible, but I was a bit disappointed in my main course.

After you’ve all had your dose of vitamin sea and poolside fun, we’ll whizz you across the crystal-clear Caribbean waters back to Cartagena, where you’ll finish your day with a traditional Colombian meal at the much-loved family owned Cande restaurant.
