Amor Perfecto was one of the first high-quality coffee pioneers, bringing a wide range of regional coffees and a variety of coffee preparation methods to the city. This unique coffee shop is home to a number of National Champion Baristas who boast excellent coffee knowledge and skills. Amor Perfecto has a glass wall into its laboratory, allowing customers an insight into the coffee process, and they often offer tasting and coffee workshops.

Also located in Chapinero, Amor Perfecto is a coffeehouse that contains a coffee laboratory, which can been seen from the shop. Behind this window customers can take the opportunity to participate in workshops or coffee tastings. Amor Perfecto is a coffee pioneer, transferring coffee preparation techniques and bringing regional coffee into the city from the farms.

Since Amor Perfecto was recommended twice, I was particularly on the hunt for that. I was having trouble tracking it down in my limited time, but I took the advice of u/splatticus and got some single origin from Dorigenn and Juan Valdez (not sure which is better). Finally, just as I was about to leave, I spotted Amor Perfecto at the airport and snagged a bag.

Some of the best coffee in the world is from Colombia, but you can’t find a lot of it in the country itself. Most of the good stuff gets exported, and Colombians drink the leftover bits. In recent years, however, speciality coffee roasters and producers in Colombia are trying to make sure that premium coffee experiences are available domestically as well.

Amor Perfecto’s coffee beans are now sold around the world and this firm, founded in 1997, is known across Colombia as a leader in the industry. There are four branches in Bogota but the one located in Chapinero Alto is favored for its central location and welcoming vibe. This cafe has great wifi and offers a varied selection of specialty coffee.

Known for winning the award for having the best expresso in the world, Amor Perfecto is famous for its high-end coffee at an affordable price. The café also creates delicious infused cocktails and holds tasting events open to the public on a regular basis. These events are great opportunities for those of you new to the Colombian coffee scene.

Coffee is amazing everywhere in Colombia so you need to visit as many coffee shops as you can while you’re in Bogota. Amor Perfecto doesn’t have as wide a food menu as Masa, but their Chapinero branch may have been my favorite coffee shop in Bogota. I absolutely loved this cafe, both for their coffee and for the space itself.

Welcome to the perfect coffee love created at Amor Perfecto. You’ll realize this place is about coffee education when you step through the front door. There, in front of you, is a coffee lab, with a roaster, tons of coffee cups and seats lined up for coffee events.

You can’t visit Colombia without sampling some of its world famous coffee. On our last visit to Bogotá, we stopped in and tried some at Amor Perfecto, just a short walk from 6 Suites. They have 2 other locations in Bogotá.

Originating in Chapinero, one of the city’s cooler barrios, it now has outlets throughout the capital. The mothership is, however, an excellent starting point for a coffee tour of Bogotá.

From the floor-to-ceiling glass windows to the uniquely-styled bar, there’s little to be desired at Amor Perfecto (and that’s without even mentioning their world-class coffee).

3:00 pm – 5:30 p.m: You can walk around the area and find excellent coffee shops like Amor Perfecto, or maybe you can go to a bookstore and drink a nice cup of coffee.
