Reviews Summary

Man Wah is lauded for its exquisite Cantonese cuisine, particularly its dim sum and signature dishes like Peking duck, and praised for its impeccable, attentive service. Diners frequently highlight the stunning harbor views and elegant ambiance as major draws. However, some reviews mention that certain dishes can be mediocre or overpriced, and occasional issues with service attentiveness or loud patrons can detract from the experience.

"We came in a group of 14 people. Service was great. Food is an elevated Cantonese food and is excellent. The room was had can see the Victoria harbor and HSBC building.

All in all, the service made the biggest impact for me."

"I had an opportunity to visit this restaurant invited to attend 2025 CNY lunch by friends at my past company. It is located at the 25F of Mandarin Oriental at Central.

Food: was well made, its a high class place. It was good that I wish the serving was bigger so I can eat more ;)

Service: It was really great services, multiple waiters to assist, they made sure the guest were attended promptly.

Atmosphere: You will feel the good vibes the moment you get out of elevator and walk towards the entrance. The view was great since its at the 25f floor, you see harbour and other land marks in the area.

Over all it was a great place to dine, spend time with other guys in the same industry, it was well worth of the time. I will plan to be back and try other dishes of this restaurant"

Julius Tiamson

"Wanting to try Man-Wah dim sum for so long, especially their pastry items. Me & my friend booked for a weekend lunch. The restaurant was 70% full, so highly suggest to book before going.

Overall, the food was quite mediocre. Most of the dim sum is not hot enough. The radish cake with XO sauce was a bit oily for my liking. The abalone tart tasted very nice. I will consider going back for the abalone tart & service."

Nearby: Hong Kong’s best Cantonese restaurants for dim sum and more

Few restaurants in fast-changing Hong Kong can boast a legacy as long as Man Wah’s, and fewer still can say that they are still at the top of their game. Despite its age (56 years young), Man Wah has remained relevant thanks to a total renovation in 2020; the luscious interiors by Silverfox Studios add gravitas to the sprawling menu of elevated Cantonese classics. If in doubt, pick the specialities that have fallen out of favour elsewhere due to their time and labour-intensive cooking processes, like the duck feet wrapped in duck intestine, or stewed pomelo peel with abalone.
