Diners consistently praise the delicious food, with many highlighting unique dishes and the overall value. "Queue started at 5pm. We reached at 530pm and entered at 730pm. But worth the wait cos food is nice. You can shop around the restaurant while waiting. You can request them to message you when the queue is near. There is 2nd sty in the restaurant."

"I enjoyed it.
Menu is a bit restricted if you don't eat meat, but the food was great. And it is cheap for what it is, by western standards anyway.
The funny thing, in my dish of Kung Po Prawns it was the round peanuts that stood out as just incredibly yummy!
There's a little wait but with all the hustle and bustle going on in the restaurant it's quite entertaining, so waiting isn't an issue.
Would like to return to have the other prawn dish on the menu and then that'll be done for me."

"This is an old restaurant that is Michelin star rated. Wonderful service and good Szechuan food. Price is reasonable for a foreigner like me! There is a queue but the queue system is orderly. We waited 30 mins for our table. Once inside, service was quick."

Why Chengdu Is China’s Most Fashionable City
Get the shrimp balls at Ma Wang Zi, an always-bustling café, and sit for a meal at Gui Mian, one of the so-called “private kitchens” for which the city is well known. What they lack in atmosphere (they’re just a few tables set up in someone’s home) they make up for with exciting morsel-sized courses. The best place to try hot pot, a bowl of bubbling spicy broth in which you cook tofu, meat, or fish, is Da Miao, where live Sichuan Opera is performed to accompany the meal.
