What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hongbinlou is celebrated for its historic significance and authentic halal Chinese cuisine, particularly its highly-rated Peking Duck. Diners praise the flavorful dishes and generous portions, though some find the prices on the higher side. While many have exceptional dining experiences, a few reviews mention concerns about cleanliness and service consistency.
"Very good halal meal. The lamb was very tender, fall off the bone kind. No gamey taste at all.
We also tried the steamed fish, oxtail and peking duck which was also very good. Overall a very good meal. Price is abit on the high side."

"I would call it an experience since this was my first time to ever try peking duck, the rest is a bit mediocre. The main reason we came here was to try Peking duck in it's place of origin and this restaurant serves it halal. However, the duck didn't suit my taste as it just too greesy for my personal preference. The head meat was out of this world, very delicious and tasty. They also provide take away for the remaining food. Please note that they serve alcohol drinks."

"We went to this restaurant two nights in a row. The food is fantastic. We tried the spicy fried chicken, sirloin beef, roast duck pancakes, shrimp bread and more. All very nice. Food portions are large, so don't over order."
