What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
O'Niel Caribbean Kitchen is praised for its authentic and flavorful Caribbean cuisine, with many highlighting dishes like oxtail and jerk chicken. Diners appreciate the generous portions and good value. However, some reviews mention slow service and minor issues with specific dishes, though the vibrant atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating, is often a plus.
"This is a nice Jamaican restaurant in Aruba. I liked the meal I had - shrimp - and my companion enjoyed their oxtail dish though it was short on spinners.
The outdoor patio is quite lovely in the evenings and the music playing from next door set a nice relaxed vibe.
I’d visit again!"
Alissa Allan
"Definitely skimped on the oxtails. 5 bones with minimal meat on them. They even skimp on the gravy like sheeesh. No complaints on the flavors and taste. The garlic conch was definitely one of a kind! Both plates were fire I just feel like we should’ve got more meat for the price we paid for the oxtails. That’s the only reason why I didn’t give a 5 star. Also no one greeted us when we walked in and wasn’t confused on whether we get seated or seat ourselves but the server Jenny was super nice! I’d definitely try them again!"
Jon Snow
"Every dish we tried was bursting with rich, authentic Caribbean flavour. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, the oxtail was tender and full of depth, and the plantains were caramelized to perfection—crispy on the edges and soft inside. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. If you’re in Aruba and craving soul-satisfying Caribbean food, this place is an absolute must. I’ll definitely be coming back!"

Jamaica-born and Aruba-based chef Oneil Williams brings a blend of Caribbean flavors to San Nicolas at O'Niel Caribbean Kitchen. The restaurant lives up to its motto, “local and Caribbean cuisine, good to the last bite,” with mouthwatering delicacies like jerk chicken wings, oxtail stew, and, my personal favorite, curry lobster. Of all the amazing meals I had on the island (I had many), this was easily one of my favorites.
