Reviews Summary
Diners praise La Cantina Tacos for its authentic Mexican street food, fresh ingredients, and quick service, highlighting delicious tacos and burritos. However, some reviews mention small portions for the price and occasional blandness or slow service.
"Tacos La Cantina in Whistler is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere—the decor is fun and colorful, with a vibe that makes you instantly feel at home. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience.
Now, the tacos… wow! They were simply incredible. Each bite was bursting with fresh flavors, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The combination of ingredients was spot-on, and you could really tell that everything was made with care. Even the sides and sauces complemented the tacos beautifully, making the meal truly memorable.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed meal with friends, this place is a must-visit in Whistler. I can’t recommend it enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"The food was fine, but the service was very unfriendly and the restaurant had little room inside, which then left us outside in the cold with no service at all. The food looks better than it tastes, I prefer it the other way around."
Kris Allee
"My wife and I stopped by La Cantina Urban Taco Bar in Whistler and enjoyed the nice outdoor seating area. We opted for the Chicken Tinga, which was okay, but the portion size was surprisingly small. $5.25 for one taco seemed steep, and our bill for two small 4-inch tacos came out to be $14.
While the tacos were decent, we've had better at other places. That being said, it's possible that their other menu options might be more impressive. If you're in Whistler, it's worth a visit to try their tacos, but be aware of the prices and portion sizes."

11 Must-Try Cheap Eats in Whistler That Are Wallet-Friendly
La Cantina Tacos/Urban Taco Bar (I’m not sure what the official name is, to be honest!) is one of our staples that we stop at on our yearly trip because I love the variety of Mexican street food that they get. We always get it to go (tip for families – order it first and then let the kids play at the nearby playground while you wait – one of the best Whistler kids activities), but they have indoor and covered outdoor seating available that you’ll want to take advantage of during your Whistler weekend. The menu is pretty impressive, but I always get the chips and guacamole, a variety of street tacos, and a giant burrito for all of us to split.
