Reviews Summary

Nourish Kitchen & Cafe is celebrated for its charming heritage home ambiance and commitment to fresh, local ingredients, offering many vegan and gluten-free options. Diners rave about the delicious and creative dishes, particularly the brunch items and unique flavor combinations. While generally well-received, some find the menu selection limited or the prices a bit high for the portion sizes.

"Nourish Cafe is a beautiful quaint spot close to the harbor. Service was excellent from Leon - friendly & chatty, attentive but not overbearing. Our food & drinks arrived quickly. The have a relatively small, interesting menu which highlights fresh produce. It is vegan & gluten free friendly. Both meals were delicious as were our coffees."

Jenna Laureau

"Healthy. Tasty. Shabby chic heritage. All the things I love in a restaurant and cafe. There's also a second floor and outdoor seating. The nourish bowl was exceptional - definitely not your average, boring breakfast bowl. I'm excited to go here again and try more things."

Kristine Cavey

"Woweeee what a place.

Came for the recommendations from the vegan community, coming back to re-live the experience of one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Nourish certainly deserves 5 stars and it's numerous awards. Outstanding food, cooked to perfection and curated with local, seasonal, and quality ingredients. It's nice to return to a minimalist-size menu where it's definitely quality over quantity, but where you're still torn to choose because everything is a masterpiece.

The seeded bread was unlike anything I'd ever had (in all the best ways) and being able to have vegan pesto pasta?! It's a novelty in itself let alone when it tastes that good. Full of flavour and depth, every mouthful was an absolute treat. My parents were also impressed at both the tenderness and taste of their chicken and fish dishes.

We all had the chocolate ganache for dessert and were equally impressed - the perfect end to a perfect meal.

On top of all that, the service was wonderful, and to dine in such a rustic, beautiful setting was the icing on the cake. Thank you Nourish, we'll be coming back to the Island just for you 🌱"

Sustainable Vegetarian Restaurants in Victoria

At this beautifully restored, 1888-built heritage house on Quebec Street in the lovely James Bay neighbourhood, the seasonally based menu isn’t exclusively vegetarian, but the vegetarian dishes are unique and compelling. I went wild for Nourish’s smoked carrot lox – a mouthwatering reinvention of smoked salmon – on buckwheat seed toast with cashew cheese. It was served on a wooden board with pickled zucchini and golden beets, among other veggies.
