Reviews Summary

Scaramouche is widely praised for its exquisite French-inspired cuisine and breathtaking Toronto skyline views, making it a top choice for special occasions. Diners consistently laud the attentive, warm, and professional service. While the food and ambiance receive high marks, the mandatory valet parking has raised concerns for some guests due to ongoing car thefts in the city.

"A fantastic choice for special occasions, we had our girls night out recently and we really enjoyed the night.
The restaurant is well-known by its breathtaking views of Toronto’s skyline that rival any high-rise restaurant. The ambiance is elegant yet intimate, with soft lighting and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for celebrations or romantic dinners.

Our server was attentive and professional, enhancing the experience. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, and the famous coconut cream pie truly lived up to the hype—light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We've tried all three cocktails and the martini was expertly crafted.

A wonderful spot for a memorable evening!"

"Dining at Scaramouche is always an unforgettable experience. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, professional, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, with honestly the most beautiful view of the city that makes any event feel even more special.

Every dish is crafted to perfection. The flavors are layered and thoughtful, showcasing the best ingredients with incredible technique. One of the recommended appetizers was a salmon sashimi dish as they only had 2 left when we got there but it’s a must-try if they’re offering it. It had so many ingredients and everything just worked! Though the peppercorn fettuccine will always be the star of the show. This pasta is incredible - with the perfectly cooked beef tenderloin, oyster mushrooms, pine nuts, Gruyère & a little crust, you can never go wrong because it hits every time! One thing I appreciate most is that everything tastes and feels so clean, no matter what or how much you eat here, I find that you always feel good.

Scaramouche offers a level of consistency, quality, and hospitality that’s rare to find. It’s no surprise they’ve built such a legendary reputation in Toronto’s dining scene. This place will always be on the top of my list.

On a side note, a very unique service they offer is complimentary valet service! Such a rare and appreciated convenience to have in the city."

RayNicole

"We had a fantastic experience at this cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of beautiful natural light streaming in from the large windows — such a refreshing change, especially in the downtown area.

The food was absolutely excellent. I especially loved the tuna tartare and the duck — both were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. My husband was very impressed with the halibut, which was cooked to perfection.

Another big plus was the valet parking service. It was smooth, friendly, and incredibly helpful — no stress trying to find parking in a busy downtown area.

Highly recommend this gem for both the food and the overall experience!"

Best French Restaurants in Toronto

Guests come here for the views and stay for the traditional French cuisine. Don't expect modern twists, as dishes such as foie gras terrine with a sour cherry reduction and rabbit loin wrapped with bacon sided by a fricassee of sweet peas and fava beans, are as classic as they come. Savor the dark chocolate mousse with cherries for dessert, or take home one of their signature coconut cream pies.
