Reviews Summary

Pizzeria Libretto is celebrated for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas, particularly the Margherita, and unique topping options. While many praise the magical atmosphere and exceptionally friendly staff, a few diners have noted a decline in quality or found the pizzas too salty. The tiramisu and arancini are also highlighted as delicious choices.

"We came here twice in one week and for sure will be back again! Their chicken pesto pizza is unbelievably delicious 🤤 Fungi pizza impressed both vegetarians and lovers of meat. All the staff are the sweetest people ever. And the magic atmosphere... you don't want to leave the place even after having dessert (their cinnamon espresso gelato is the best)."

"I used to go to a different libretto all the time until the quality went down a few years ago. Decided to try it out again (at this location instead) and I forgot how good it is!!! Libretto has one of my fav Margherita pizzas - their sauce is so sweet and the crust is amazing.

For a restaurant that’s expanded to so many locations, they’ve managed to do a really great job at maintaining the quality of food, staff and atmosphere!"

Chloe

"I love Pizza Libretto and I honestly think they’re the best pizza I’ve ever eaten - specially the funghi pizza. The flavours and ingredients are so so good. I also love their Arancini coz they don’t add saffron to the rice like other places, it tastes really good with the cheese inside. This location took about 45-50 min to bring the food that was the only reason I took away 1 star. Other than that I would highly recommend if you haven’t been there, definitely try their funghi pizza coz it’s vegetarian without compromise."

Toronto Restaurant Reviews by Madame Marie - BON APPÉTIT, B*TCHES!

Madame Marie’s Weekly Roundup: Toronto’s Best Takeout, Delivery and Dining During COVID-19 – April 8, 2021

Great news for pie lovers in the Toronto’s west end, because Pizzeria Libretto recently opened its fifth location in the historical Junction neighbourhood. Like its other locations across the city, the new Libretto restaurant has the same, much-adored menu, including expertly charred Neapolitan pizzas, a variety of insalatas, and Italian wines. You certainly can’t go wrong with the Diavola pizza—a spice lover’s dream—topped with salami, San Marzano tomato, olives, onion, fior di latte mozzarella, crema di pepperoncino and fresh basil.

22 of Toronto's best pizza places

What started as a neighbourhood spot on Ossington for wood fired Neapolitan pizza has grown into five locations across the city with menus that offer different styles of pizza like Sicilian and Neo-NY, with options like house-made Vegan cheese and a gluten-free crust that’s so good it practically started a revolution. If you’re going traditional, their Neapolitan Margherita with mozzarella, parmigiana and basil never disappoints. If you want classic, try their thick and crispy Neo-NY version.

Ossington is this pizzeria’s original home but Toronto couldn’t get enough of their Neapolitan-style crust and toppings like San Marzano tomato sauce, Ligurian taggiasca olives, Calabrian sausage and spicy salami. As they expanded to the far reaches of the city, chefs Rocco Agostino and Max Rimaldi took their traditional family recipes with them. To keep up with the times, they are doing a pop-up at Oliver & Bonacini at Bayview Village and selling signature Libretto negroni kits.
