Reviews Summary
Mildred's Temple Kitchen is celebrated for its iconic blueberry pancakes and creative brunch twists, served in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. While many rave about the delicious food and lively ambiance, some diners note that the service can occasionally be inattentive or disorganized, and the wait times can be significant. Despite minor service hiccups, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it a highly recommended spot.
"Enjoyed a pleasant brunch here and loved the atmosphere, food and service. The specialty coffees were great and each dish was unique. I ordered the Benedict on a croissant which had its own spin on hollandaise sauce. The club sandwich tasted fresh and had a garlic bite to it, not to mention the blueberry pancake. I’ve never tried such a tasty pancake which felt more like a dessert cake than anything else. Service was prompt and very polite. Such a great atmosphere. Pricing was a bit steep but worth it for tasty, fresh food that was carefully thought out."

"I’d say we really enjoyed our meal — it was definitely worth waiting an hour in line to get a table. The food quality was excellent and truly deserved five stars. However, I’m giving four stars mainly because the service could use some improvement.
We ordered drinks, and while the grapefruit ginger one was quite good, the watermelon lemon drink didn’t taste like watermelon at all. Also, we found a tiny mosquito in one of the drinks and asked the waiter to replace it. They did change it, but no one apologized, which was a bit disappointing.
That aside, we had a lovely brunch overall 😊"

"If you're looking for a delicious brunch spot in Toronto, Mildred's Temple Kitchen is a must-try! The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic—bright, modern, and full of life. It’s cozy inside, but the real gem is the patio during the summer. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a meal outside, especially with its spacious setup that’s also wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is kid-friendly, so it’s ideal for families looking for a relaxed place to dine.
The food is incredible. The pancakes are hands down some of the best I’ve had—fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The eggs Monty are also a standout, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. You can really tell they focus on quality ingredients and great preparation.
However, the service didn’t quite match up to the food. I had a few issues: my waitress sent the wrong order to my table, and I had to ask for my coffee three times before it arrived, incorrectly each time. My server was a bit confused and disorganized, which did affect the overall experience. My suggestion would be to improve the training for the staff to make everything flow more smoothly.
Despite this, I still really enjoyed my visit and would recommend Mildred’s Temple Kitchen for its great food, lovely atmosphere, and nice event space."
